Arctic Farming, a Finnish startup offering plug-and-play aeroponic vertical farming solutions, has raised EUR 350,000 (~USD 375,000) in seed funding from Heino Group and Norex International.
The company aims to use the funds for commercialization, focusing on finalizing its first commercial product, and refining its vertical farming appliance to ensure seamless integration into HoReCa (hotel and restaurant sector) operations. The funding will also enable Arctic Farming to attract top talent, expand its team further, and support international expansion plans.
Analyst QuickTake: This funding round supports Arctic Farming in its upcoming commercial operations and adds to its previous seed round of EUR 150,000 (~USD 152,922) in July 2022, which is aimed at supporting the company’s commercialization, product development, and international expansion efforts. After dedicating two years to R&D efforts and launching a limited pilot with selected customers in Finland to validate its technology, the company has positioned itself to enter the commercial market.
