Plantish, an Israeli plant-based meat developer, has rebranded as Oshi, effective immediately. The new name is derived from Ocean and is part of the company's efforts to position itself as a leading global seafood company.
Oshi is gearing up to enter the US foodservice sector by the end of this year and has begun collaborating with chefs and restaurants to optimize offerings. Moreover, it signed an MoU with Coop Group, one of Europe’s largest retailers, to distribute Oshi salmon filets in 2025.
Analyst QuickTake: The plans for US and Europe expansion are in line with Oshi’s goals, set out during its USD 12.5 million funding round last year. The funds will help to expand distribution into foodservice channels, grow the team, and scale up production.
