Beyond Meat, a California-based plant-based meat developer has launched an enhanced version of its Beyond Sausage product. The new version comes in Brat Original, Hot Italian, and Sweet Italian flavors, available in over 15,000 retail stores across the US.
The new Beyond Sausage is made from plant-based ingredients like peas and brown rice and a mixture of garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika to deliver a taste similar to traditional pork sausages.
According to the company, the new iteration has 40% less saturated fat than leading pork sausage brands, offers 16 g of protein per serving, features a juicier and meatier taste, and contains no cholesterol, GMOs, soy, gluten, or added antibiotics and hormones.
