Metaverse gaming platform Pixion Games raised USD 5.5 million in an extension of its seed funding round, with participation from Avalanche Foundation's Blizzard Fund, Shima Capital, Eldridge, Merit Circle, ReadyPlayerDAO, and others.
The newly acquired funds will be directed toward accelerating the development of Pixion Games' flagship game, Fableborne, including Pixion League, an in-app tournament platform, and enhancing LiveOps for free-to-play games.
Pixion Games specializes in creating isometric multiplayer games. The company's flagship game, Fableborne, is a mobile-first, action role-playing game (RPG) where players engage in player-versus-player (PvP) combat alongside the strategic base building with on-chain in-game assets. Specifically, the game allows players to build their bases, raid opponents, and upgrade buildings and heroes.
Analyst QuickTake: Pixion Games launched Fableborne in 2022 after a development phase of 18 months. The funding round also follows the company’s USD 2 million seed funding round in July 2019 for the development of mobile esports titles.
