MightyFly receives USD 150,000 grant to conduct drone-based delivery demonstrations in Michigan

Funding

  • MightyFly, a drone-based delivery solutions provider, received a USD 150,000 grant from the Michigan Mobility Funding Platform (MMFP) in May 2023 to conduct autonomous cargo delivery flight demonstrations in Michigan.

  • The company will use deploy its latest “Cento” autonomous cargo drone for the demonstrations, which has the capacity to carry 100 lbs of cargo or 96–212 small packages.

  • The timeline of the demonstration or the drone routes is not yet disclosed.

  • Analyst QuickTake: MightyFly unveiled its latest Cento drone in January 2023 and has already received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)’s approval to conduct long-range flights. Therefore, we believe the demonstrations will occur sooner rather than later, although a timeline has not been specified yet.
