Rind expands product line with a new upcycled snack mix

Product updates

  • Rind, a New York-based startup that produces upcycled dried fruit snacks from fruit peel, has expanded its product line by launching Rind Remix, its first trail mix product.

  • The product combines Rind’s dried fruit offerings with roasted nuts, upcycled ingredients, and fruit seasonings. The mix comes in the piña colada flavor and includes diced pineapple, organic coconut crisps, and dry roasted cashews.

  • The flavored trail mix is currently available in Costco locations in Los Angeles, with plans for new flavors and a broader rollout toward the end of this year.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The trail mix is a new product launch for Rind, mainly focusing on its dried fruit snacks in six flavors. Mid-last year, the company reported that its upcycled snacks were offered across 10,000 stores, including Whole Foods, Kroger, CVS, Wegmans, and Meijer.
