ClickUp laid off 10% of its workforce, or ~90 people, from various divisions, including software engineering and customer support, moving some of its support roles to lower-cost regions.
The decision was also made to prepare for a potential public listing and increase efficiency amid a market slowdown. Affected employees will receive severance packages, insurance coverage, and additional support measures. Furthermore, the company has allowed these employees to keep their laptops and other equipment and has extended assistance to those on visas. This follows a similar restructuring in 2022 when ClickUp laid off 7% of its staff.
