FACIA raises USD 1.2 million in seed funding

Funding

  • FACIA, a UK-based company specializing in face recognition technology and liveness detection, secured USD 1.2 million in seed funding led by Programmers Force, an angel investor.

  • The company intends to allocate the funding toward its R&D, which will involve making investments in liveness detection capabilities to complement its facial recognition technology and to expand into new markets, especially North America, Europe, and MENA.

  • The investment follows the successful completion of a presentation attack detection test conducted by iBeta Quality Assurance. In May, FACIA's face biometrics passed an assessment based on the ISO/IEC 30107-3 standard for biometric presentation attack detection, Level 1.

  • FACIA is a biometric authentication and facial recognition company based in the UK. It offers user verification with a response time of less than one second. It uses AI and ML algorithms to offer businesses biometric authentication solutions.
