Fischer Farms partners with Fresh Direct to supply herbs and leafy greens

Partnerships

  • Fischer Farms, a UK-based vertical farming company, has partnered with Fresh Direct, a UK-based fresh produce supplier to the hospitality industry, to supply a range of herbs and leafy greens, including basil and watercress, grown at Fischer Farms' biosecure vertical farm in Norwich.

  • Through this partnership, Fresh Direct hopes to improve supply chain sustainability by reducing the need for imported products.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Fischer Farms is continuing to secure partnerships to expand the supply of its vertically-grown produce. The company previously partnered with Greene King in April this year to supply vertically farmed basil to 1,600 Greene King-managed pubs.
