AML3D receives European patent for wire additive manufacturing process

Product updates

  • AML3D, an Australian developer of additive manufacturing solutions, has been granted a European patent for its Wire Additive Manufacturing (WAM) process, aligning with the Australian patent received in June 2021.

  • This patent covers AML3D's method and apparatus for manufacturing 3D metal parts. The European patent adds further protection to the company's Intellectual Property and reinforces its leadership in advanced metal 3D-printing solutions.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Currently, the company's primary focus is on expanding sales of its ARCEMY systems to industrial manufacturers in the US Defence, Marine, and Aerospace sectors. However, in the medium term, AML3D plans to capitalize on its European technology leadership and US scaling strategies to target sales to OEMs supporting the European Defence, Marine, and Aerospace industries. AML3D's technology advantage enables clients to obtain customized components with reduced production time and costs, minimizing supply chain risks.
