Bollinger Motors, an electric truck-making subsidiary of Net Element-owned Mullen Automotive, has revealed plans to invest USD 44 million in a manufacturing plant in Livonia, Michigan, and in its Oak Park headquarters in an expansion plan that is expected to generate 237 new job opportunities.
The company has also secured the approval for a performance-based grant of USD 3 million from the Michigan Strategic Fund, a part of the Michigan Economic Development Corp., a public-private partnership agency dedicated to job creation in the state of Michigan. The grant is expected to support the additional costs of expanding in Michigan.
Analyst QuickTake: The capacity expansion can support Bollinger’s production of its all-electric “B4” Class 4 chassis cabs. The company launched the "design validation" pilot builds of the vehicles in July 2023 and plans to commence deliveries in 2024.
