AR communications platform Beem has partnered with Qualcomm Technologies and Deutsche Telekom subsidiary T-Mobile US to bring its telepresence calling to Qualcomm's Snapdragon Spaces XR Developer Platform.
Beem aims to enhance digital communication by making holograms more accessible, offering a more intimate form of digital communication compared to traditional video conferencing. The integration with Snapdragon Spaces is expected to add value to wearable devices, with Beem being available on all Snapdragon Spaces-ready devices. A premium option will also be available for business use, allowing Snapdragon Spaces users and T-Mobile customers to communicate as holograms.
Beem provides a platform for live and pre-recorded hologram content, aiming to improve digital communication. The company's software is designed to offer a closer alternative to in-person communication. The integration with Snapdragon Spaces and T-Mobile's 5G network is expected to make Beem's hologram solution more widely accessible.
