Product updates

  • SiLC Technologies (SiLC), a silicon photonics company, has partnered with Indie Semiconductor, an automotive semiconductor company, to introduce coherent detection-based LiDAR platforms using frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) technology.

  • The partnership looks to combine SiLC's FMCW LiDAR sensor “Eyeonic” with Indie Semiconductor's “Surya” processing innovation system-on-chip (SoC) for next-generation sensing applications, including driver assistance, autonomous mobility, robotics, and industrial automation.

  • Reference platforms incorporating Surya and Eyeonic have already been deployed and are currently under assessment by selected automotive, Tier1, and industrial OEMs.

  • Analyst QuickTake: SiLC commercially launched its Eyeonic Vision System in January 2023. It also has an existing partnership with Hong Kong-based Cloud Light from 2022, a manufacturer of advanced optical modules, which will facilitate volume production of Eyeonic sensors.
