  • Nikola Motor Company (Nikola), a developer of heavy-duty battery-electric (BEV) and fuel-cell electric vehicle (FCEV) trucks, has received an order for 13 Nikola electric trucks (10 BEVs and 3 FCEVs) from J.B. Hunt, an Arkansas-based transportation and logistics company.

  • The trucks are set to be used at centers that cater to J.B. Hunt's primary routes, encompassing regions like greater Los Angeles (California) and Phoenix (Arizona). The hydrogen and fueling infrastructure for the trucks will be provided by Nikola’s hydrogen fueling unit “HYLA.”

  • The company also announced that it has obtained more than 200 sales orders for its FCEV trucks. The company further confirmed that its Arizona manufacturing facility is in full operation with deliveries expected to commence later in 2023.
