Svante and Deep Sky partner to assess carbon sequestration project in Canada

Partnerships

  • Svante, a Canadian carbon capture startup, entered a partnership with Deep Sky, a carbon removal project developer also based in Canada, to evaluate the feasibility of carbon sequestration in the St. Lawrence River Valley in Southern Quebec.

  • The companies expect to engage Sproule, a carbon management consulting firm, to complete the geological subsurface research in the area. The management of Svante believes that the site confirms specific climatic requirements due to abundant renewables present in the region.

  • Deep Sky is on the path to build commercial carbon removal and storage facilities in Canada, leveraging nano-engineered filters and Direct Air Capture (DAC) technologies by Svante.
