EchoPay, an online and physical account-to-account (A2A) payments solutions provider, has partnered with open banking infrastructure provider Token to enable wholesalers in the UK to accept A2A payments.
This aims to help reduce the impact of interchange fees on wholesalers, who typically face higher card fees owing to larger average transaction amounts.
The solution has currently been adopted by Unitas Wholesale, the UK’s largest independent wholesale buying group.
Analyst QuickTake: Token has been expanding its offering through partnerships with other payment solutions providers. In June, the company partnered with Flutterwave to power the latter’s “Pay by Bank” transfer capabilities.
