EchoPay partners with Token to offer account-to-account payments for wholesalers

Partnerships

  • EchoPay, an online and physical account-to-account (A2A) payments solutions provider, has partnered with open banking infrastructure provider Token to enable wholesalers in the UK to accept A2A payments.

  • This aims to help reduce the impact of interchange fees on wholesalers, who typically face higher card fees owing to larger average transaction amounts.

  • The solution has currently been adopted by Unitas Wholesale, the UK’s largest independent wholesale buying group.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Token has been expanding its offering through partnerships with other payment solutions providers. In June, the company partnered with Flutterwave to power the latter’s “Pay by Bank” transfer capabilities.
