SPEE3D partners with CAMRE to offer metal AM solutions for US tri-service maritime forces

Partnerships

  • SPEE3D, an Australian developer of additive manufacturing solutions, has partnered with CAMRE (Consortium for Additive Manufacturing Research and Education) to accelerate the integration of metal-based additive manufacturing into the US tri-service maritime forces, encompassing the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard.

  • The partnership involves employing the XSPEE3D printer at the US Naval Postgraduate School for use by military graduate students, PhD candidates, and research professionals.

  • CAMRE intends to utilize the XSPEE3D printer and its proprietary Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing (CSAM) technology to explore its potential in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) for ships, submarines, aircraft, and ground equipment.
