Rokid launches spatial computing platform for AR experiences

Product updates

  • Rokid launched the Rokid AR Studio spatial computing platform, which includes the Rokid Station Pro computing unit and Rokid Max Pro AR glasses. The product offers controller-free operations by utilizing natural motion input and voice commands.

  • The Rokid Max Pro AR glasses, weighing 76 g, are priced at CNY 4,999 (~USD 685) and feature a 215-inch virtual screen with a 3,840 x 1,200 OLED display. The Rokid Station Pro, priced at CNY 3,999 (~USD 550), is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 1 platform, offers a "motion to photon" level of responsiveness and is optimized for AR experiences with the YodaOS-Master operating system. The platform also provides an app ecosystem with tools for developers to create AR experiences.

  • The Rokid Max Pro and Station Pro are currently available for preorder in China, with international availability to be announced later in the year.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The Rokid Max Pro was initially announced in March 2023 . The launch of the Station Pro bolsters the capabilities of its AR glasses by providing TV remote functionality when watching movies or as a controller when playing games. Additionally, the company claims that the Station Pro is the world’s first Google-certified portable Android TV device for AR glasses.
