Google Meet launches AI-powered features for improved meeting experiences

Product updates

  • Google has introduced new AI-powered features for its video conferencing tool, Google Meet. These features include real-time note-taking by Duet's AI, the ability for Duet to attend meetings on users' behalf, and dynamic layouts for better visual organization.

  • These AI-powered features are designed to streamline meetings and reduce the burden of manual tasks, making virtual interactions more efficient and inclusive.

  • The Duet AI in Google Meet allows users to catch up on mid-meeting summaries if they join late and engage in private discussions with a chatbot. The AI can generate meeting notes for users who are unable to attend.

  • The note-taking feature will be available in Google's Workspace Labs in the coming months, while the "attend for me" function will arrive next year.
