Google has introduced new AI-powered features for its video conferencing tool, Google Meet. These features include real-time note-taking by Duet's AI, the ability for Duet to attend meetings on users' behalf, and dynamic layouts for better visual organization.
These AI-powered features are designed to streamline meetings and reduce the burden of manual tasks, making virtual interactions more efficient and inclusive.
The Duet AI in Google Meet allows users to catch up on mid-meeting summaries if they join late and engage in private discussions with a chatbot. The AI can generate meeting notes for users who are unable to attend.
The note-taking feature will be available in Google's Workspace Labs in the coming months, while the "attend for me" function will arrive next year.
