According to Reuters, SentinelOne has unilaterally terminated its collaboration with Wiz, citing a lack of execution. The news comes days after venture-backed Wiz indicated interest in acquiring publicly traded SentinelOne, an older and larger company.
The companies partnered in March 2023 to offer customers end-to-end cybersecurity solutions, entering into a strategic agreement with a reported duration of one-and-a-half years, of which only six months have elapsed. SentinelOne and Wiz will reportedly remain bound by a non-competition clause, preventing either company from partnering with the other’s direct competitors.
Analyst QuickTake: Wiz expressed interest in acquiring SentinelOne last week, soon after reports emerged of the latter hiring an investment bank to explore a sale amid profitability issues.
