German-based Carbonfuture, a carbon removal marketplace, has partnered with Puro.earth, a Finnish startup offering a B2B carbon trading marketplace and registry for carbon removal credits, to scale up carbon dioxide removal (CDR).

The collaboration will integrate Puro.earth certification into Carbonfuture’s Trust Infrastructure (which includes Carbonfuture MRV+ and Carbonfuture Marketplace), facilitating the sale of CO2 removal certificates (CORCs) via the Carbonfuture Marketplace, allowing Puro suppliers to track CDR and access the latter’s carbon removal marketplace.

In addition, this partnership will also provide guidance for carbon removal suppliers to get their projects certified by the Puro Standard through Carbonfuture’s Carbon Removal Supplier Services.
