Electra forms EV-charging-focused JV with Energy Infrastructure Partners

Partnerships

  • Electra, a French EV-charging solutions provider, has partnered with Energy Infrastructure Partners (EIP), a renewable energy-oriented asset management company, to form a joint venture (JV)-focused on EV charging. The latter is representing a group of Swiss pension funds.

  • Electra will hold a 50.1% stake in the JV, while EIP will inject EUR 200 million (~USD 217 million) in initial capacity through 2026 to support operations. The JV intends to expand Electra’s installed EV charger charging capacity in Switzerland and Austria.

  • Electra already operates in eight European countries and has installed over 500 charging points. The company intends to add another 200 charging stations—100 each in Switzerland and Austria—by 2026.
