InoBat, a Slovakian next-gen battery manufacturer, reported that Gotion High-Tech, a Chinese battery developer, has acquired a 25% stake in the company.
Looking forward, the two companies will focus on developing localized battery value chains in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa and will also accelerate R&D across the value chain.
Analyst QuickTake: InoBat also carried out several notable partnerships in 2022, including with GUS Technology , where the latter agreed to manufacture InoBat’s batteries at its 1 GWh production facility, which was set to be operational in Q4 2023. Inobat also partnered with Ricardo , an environmental and engineering consultancy company, in November 2022 to jointly supply battery cells, modules, and packs to high-performance automotive manufacturers.
