ZeroAvia, a hydrogen-based aviation solutions developer, has partnered with Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), a leading clean energy company in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to explore the production and supply of hydrogen at key locations.
The two companies will initially focus on projects in North America and Europe and will also explore the opportunity to establish zero-emission flights in the UAE. Masdar aims to deliver the world’s first hydrogen-powered commercial flights with this partnership.
Analyst QuickTake: During the same month , ZeroAvia reported that it developed the world's first high-performance compressor for fuel-cell-based aviation propulsion systems, which is significantly more powerful than existing fuel-cell compressors. The company intended to incorporate the technology into its first two hydrogen-electric engines: The ZA600, which is to be in service by 2025, and the ZA2000, which is to be launched in 2027.
