Product updates

  • French plant-based meat producer La Vie (formerly 77 Foods) has initiated a crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube to raise EUR 1 million (~USD 1 million). The campaign will be live September 7-28 and allow customers to participate at the same share price as their previous investors.

  • Further, La Vie has launched a new vegan ham made with seven ingredients. It claims to offer the same juiciness and texture as pork ham and 19 g of protein per 100 g serving.

  • Additionally, the company will launch a virtual restaurant in October in partnership with Taster. Initially, it will offer bacon burgers, fries, and grilled cheese sandwiches for delivery in Paris, with plans to expand across Europe later.
