C-Capture, a British carbon capture startup, has raised GBP 10 million (~USD 12.4 million) in an investment round led by Northern Gritstone. Existing investors such as BP Ventures, Drax, and new investor Kiko Ventures also participated in this round. This brings the company's total funding to GBP 16.7 million (~USD 20.7 million).
The funding aims to support C-Capture's commercialization process by testing its carbon removal pilot plant in Yorkshire. Furthermore, the company intends to develop a commercial demonstration plant capable of capturing 100–200 tons of CO2 per day.
