OneFarm, a Netherlands-based hydroponic vertical farming operator, has filed a notice of intention (NOI) for its UK subsidiary, OneFarm Limited, looking to appoint administrators in an attempt to save the company from liquidation.
Analyst QuickTake: OneFarm seems to be facing uncertainty regarding its ongoing vertical farming facility in the UK. The company announced the construction of a 6,400 sq m vertical farm in Suffolk, UK, in partnership with Intelligent Growth Solutions in May 2022—with subsequent plans for the farm to be operational as the first UK OneFarm hub in early 2023—and further planning to build 25 farms across the UK. OneFarm also raised GBP 7.5 million (~USD 8.78 million) in August 2022, completing the initial funding requirement for the first phase of this facility.
