Plan A, a German B2B carbon offsetting startup, has raised USD 27 million to conclude the Series A round opened in November 2021 . This raises the company's total funding to USD 42 million.
The latest funding round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. Other investors included Visa, Deutsche Bank, and Opera Tech Ventures, among other angel investors. Current investors, including HV Capital, Keen Venture Partners, Demeter IM, and Coparion also contributed to the round.
The company would utilize the funds to expand its employee base and reach new markets in France, UK, and Scandinavia. Additionally, Plan A intends to scale its SaaS-based sustainability platform by incorporating decarbonization tools, Scope 3 coverage, and policy alignment actions.
