Campfire, known for its 3D collaboration tools in VR, has announced that its platform tailored for enterprises will be available on the Meta Quest 3 via the Quest Store from November 1, 2023, onwards.

The newly developed Campfire application leverages the full-color passthrough feature of the Meta Quest 3 to enhance remote collaboration, offering a more immersive experience for workflows throughout the physical product lifecycle. This shift addresses the challenges of preparing, understanding, and collaborating on technical documents and descriptions of physical products and processes. 

The Campfire app allows technical content creators to compose scenes from existing CAD and 3D files on desktops and collaborate seamlessly across various devices, including Mac, PC, iPad, and now Meta Quest 3. The application also introduces a virtual assistant named “Spark,” an AI-driven character designed to assist users in navigating the Campfire environment.

Analyst QuickTake: The updates build on Campfire’s launch of its holographic collaboration system in May 2023 , with its Spark AI feature further differentiating itself from competitors such as Forma Vision. The updates may also help shape future iterations of its Campfire headset, as it is optimized for its collaboration platform.
