Via launches smart public transport service; marks entry into Swedish market

Geographic expansion
Product updates

  • Via, a provider of mobility management systems, has launched paxa, a demand-responsive public transportation initiative in collaboration with Nobina, the Nordic region's largest bus operator, and Din Tur, a public transport authority. The service, introduced in Sundsvall, Sweden, allows residents to book rides through the Via-powered paxa Din Tur app.

  • The initiative aims to boost public transport utilization, especially after the pandemic’s impact on bus travel.

  •  If successful, there are plans to expand the paxa service to more parts of the Swiss region and expand accessibility to public transport networks.
