Arrive (formerly DroneDek), a developer of landing platforms for drone deliveries, has partnered with Good Samaritan Hospital and Community Health Network in Indiana to pilot the use of its Mailbox-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform in healthcare logistics and supply chains. The demonstrations will commence in November.
The pilot project will involve using drones to deliver medical samples to smart mailboxes outside the hospitals, which will then be transported inside the facilities by droids in collaboration with delivery droid operator Ottonomy.
