Rainforest, a payments-as-a-service platform, has raised USD 11.75 million in a mix of seed (USD 8.5 million) and venture debt (USD 3.25 million) funding. The seed funding was led by Accel with participation from Infinity Ventures, BoxGroup, and The Fintech Fund, while the venture debt facility was provided by Silicon Valley Bank (a division of First Citizens Bank).
The company intends to use the funds for product development and recruitment.
The platform has currently processed more than USD 500 million in total transaction volume since its inception.
