Prime Roots, a producer of koji-based alternative meats, has partnered with Fabrique Delices, a French artisanal charcuterie maker, to develop and distribute a range of koji-based pâtés and foie gras targeting the food service sector.
The partnership aims to offer a cruelty-free alternative to traditional pates and foie gras by using koji as the main ingredient. The collaboration will roll out the only legally approved plant-based foie gras that can be served in restaurants in California.
