ADDiTEC acquires Elem Additive Solutions from Xerox to expand into liquid metal printing

  • ADDiTEC, a metal additive manufacturing company, has acquired Elem Additive Solutions from Xerox Holdings Corporation as part of its strategy to broaden its technology portfolio and promote the use of additive manufacturing in the industry.

  • The acquisition enhances ADDiTEC's portfolio by expanding into liquid metal printing (LMP) technology. Elem Additive Solutions is known for pioneering LMP technology and developing the ElemX liquid metal 3D printer.

  • This strategic acquisition aligns with ADDiTEC's goal of increasing the industrial adoption of additive manufacturing. The shared vision and technological synergies between the two companies is expected to drive innovation in liquid metal printing.

  • ADDiTEC, is a metal additive manufacturing solutions provider and it introduced multi-laser DED technology in collaboration with Meltio, a joint venture, which was commercialized in 2020. This technology has gained widespread adoption in education, research institutions, and commercial industries.
