Project Canary, a carbon emissions data platform, has expanded its partnership with BKV Corporation, a natural gas company, to perform a carbon assessment for BKV's Barnett Zero project, a high-concentration carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) project. The partnership aims to develop transparent and data-driven CCUS operations.
Project Canary will deploy SENSE CCUS, a digital monitoring, reporting, and verification (dMRV) platform, to provide real-time operational insights and regulatory compliance requirements for the project. Thereafter, Canary will send the project data to third-party specialists for verification before transferring it to carbon registries for carbon credit issuance.
Founded in 2018, Project Canary is an enterprise emissions data platform that measures and analyzes GHG emissions across the energy value chain. The company delivers software solutions through high-fidelity sensors and data from other technologies and sources to gather emissions data.
