Geographic expansion
Partnerships

  • Archer Aviation, a California-based eVTOL company, has partnered strategically with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) to establish its first international headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Abu Dhabi, with plans to commence air taxi operations in the country in 2026. The collaboration aims to bring electric air taxis to the UAE.

  • Archer also intends to work with its global manufacturing partner, Stellantis, and local partners in the UAE to build its aircraft manufacturing capabilities and Center of Excellence in Abu Dhabi, focusing on next-generation aviation technologies. In line with this, the company also signed agreements with Falcon Aviation, which will operate its air taxis across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and GAL-AMMROC, which will provide maintenance, repair, and overhaul support for Archer’s eVTOL aircraft.

  • Analyst QuickTake: In August 2023 , Archer received a USD 215 million equity investment led by a USD 70 million investment by Stellantis. The company intended to use the funds as working capital and for general corporate purposes, including the continued development of the aircraft and related technology and to build manufacturing and test facilities. Archer also received funding from Boeing, United Airlines, and other financial institutions, including ARK Invest.
