Scottish plant-based meat producer Sgaia has launched two new plant-based roasts for the Christmas and holiday season. The roasts are available in two sizes (500 g and 1 kg) and arrive pre-cooked, with a shelf life of six months in the fridge and longer in the freezer.
The roasts feature a chicken-style outer layer filled with homemade sausage stuffing and are made using a base of seitan and pea protein combined with spices and seasonings.
Sgaia, founded in 2015, develops clean-label vegan alternatives like streaky rashers, steaks, and burgers. Its products are available at retail outlets such as Whole Foods Market and via its website.
