Maryland-based quantum hardware company IonQ has achieved 29 algorithmic qubits (AQ) using barium qubits for the first time. The company has already achieved 29 AQs in its IonQ Forte system based on ytterbium qubits.
IonQ claims that reaching 29 AQs using the barium platform will enable it to solve complex problems and be used in various new technical applications due to its scalable nature.
IonQ is also offering 24/7 access and support for its cloud-accessible ytterbium quantum systems, IonQ Harmony and IonQ Aria. The increased availability of IonQ Harmony and IonQ Aria will benefit users tackling complex commercial and research use cases.
