Debut product from Cocuus and Foody’s partnership arrives at Carrefour

Product updates

  • Spanish FoodTech companies Cocuus and Foodys have launched 100% vegetable bacon, the first product of their collaboration, at Carrefour stores in Spain.

  • The plant-based bacon, priced similarly to animal bacon, is produced using advanced 3D bioprinting technology and claims to contain less than 10% vegetable fat. The company plans to follow this launch with other vegan alternatives, including foie, tuna, shrimp, and salmon.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Cocuus and Foodys launched their partnership early this year to develop and commercialize industrial-scale 3D-bioprinted plant-based products by leveraging their combined expertise. Following this, they developed a 3D-printed plant-based tripe to showcase the potential of their technology.
