RAIKU raises EUR 8.8 million in grant and private sector funding

Funding

  • RAIKU, an Estonian startup specializing in eco-friendly packaging materials, secured EUR 8.8 million (~USD 9.6 million) in funding, of which EUR 5.65 (~USD 6.2 million) million was from the European Innovation Council, while EUR 3.15 million (~USD 3.5 million) was from private investors. The initial round of funding was led by investors, including Kaamos, Vestman, Little Green Fund, and other private investors from Estonia and Finland.

  • RAIKU aims to utilize the funding to improve its chemical-free, compostable packaging technology, establish its inaugural factory, and expand its operations worldwide.

  • RAIKU's packaging filling material, which uses wooden springs, is a highly resource-efficient alternative to traditional packaging material like bubble wrap, paper, and cardboard.
