Patch partners with Drax to facilitate carbon credit sales

Partnerships

  • Patch Technologies, a startup offering businesses an API-based solution to calculate and offset carbon footprints, has partnered with Drax, a renewable energy generation company, to provide carbon credits for Drax's customers.

  • Through the partnership, Drax customers can utilize Patch’s Radius software to purchase carbon credit portfolios. Drax also expects to submit its BECCS (bioenergy with carbon capture and storage) credits for evaluation against Patch's project acceptance criteria to sell them to its customers.

  • The partnership intends to support Drax’s goal of capturing 14 million tons of CO2 removals annually by 2030. In addition, the companies expect to scale the carbon market by enabling carbon credit sales to companies of all sizes.
