Cloud security company Orca has expanded its partnership with Google to enable automated code generation on its cybersecurity platform. Orca’s solution will integrate with Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, a platform that simplifies the machine-learning process and allows developers to build custom models without extensive coding.
The company says the integration is part of a broader strategy to work with cloud providers to offer an intelligent security assistant to organizations using cloud infrastructure and services. Vertex AI will enable immediate generation of remediation code, reducing mean time to remediation (MTTR) and easing the burden on security teams.
Analyst QuickTake: The news bears a strong resemblance to last week’s announcement of Orca partnering with AWS to integrate its Bedrock AI platform to help generate remediation code. As of November 2023, Orca Security has entered cybersecurity partnerships with the three largest cloud providers, Azure , AWS , and Google Cloud, to integrate GenAI for accelerated remediation and cybersecurity workflow automation.
