CarpeCarbon raises EUR 1.7 million to build DAC plant in Italy

Funding

  • CarpeCarbon, an Italian ClimateTech startup, has secured EUR 1.7 million (~USD 1.9 million) in a pre-seed funding round co-led by CDP Venture Capital under its Tech4Planet initiative and 360 Capital. Investors including Club Degli Investitori network and the PiemonteNext co-investment fund also contributed to this round.

  • The funding will be utilized for the design and construction of CarpeCarbon's first Direct Air Capture (DAC) plant in Piedmont, Italy.

  • Founded in 2022, CarpeCarbon is an Italian DAC startup utilizing a novel approach to remove large amounts of CO2 at any location using renewable energy. CarpeCarbon's solution focuses on optimizing energy efficiency and reducing environmental impacts.
