Quantron, a German developer of electric and hydrogen commercial vehicles, has partnered with the Oilinvest Group, a company operating in the oil industry, to from a joint venture (JV) known as HEMTRON in Germany.
This JV will focus on building hydrogen-based refueling infrastructure for fuel-cell electric heavy trucks (FCEV) through leveraging Oilinvest's network of filling stations across Europe and Quantron’s expertise in e-mobility.
The venture has proposed the construction of hydrogen refueling stations at strategic locations such as transport hubs and highways, primarily in Germany initially, to ensure a smooth transition to zero-emission vehicles.
Analyst QuickTake: During the same month , Quantron partnered with Ford Trucks to explore the integration of Quantron's technology, including e-axle, high-power battery, fuel cell, and optimized aerodynamics, into Ford's heavy-duty trucks. The first phase of this collaboration, beginning in 2024, will see Ford's advanced trucks built with new security regulations and designed for emission-free adaptation.
