TômTex, a sustainable biomaterial manufacturing company, secured USD 2.25 million in a seed funding round. The round was led by Happiness Capital with participation from SOSV, Parley for the Oceans, and MIH Capital. Previously, the company raised USD 1.9 million in a pre-seed round, bringing its total funding to USD 4.15 million.
TômTex aims to use the funds to make strategic hires and expand manufacturing capabilities. The company recently achieved a production milestone by producing 100 linear feet of its bio-based fabric that uses shell seafood waste and mushrooms.
