Drone Delivery Canada (DDC), a Canada-based drone and logistics systems developer, has completed a successful medical transport trial in Holland, Michigan, in collaboration with operational partners Workhorse Aero, Airspace Link, and Caduceus Medical Logistics. This marks the company's first trial in the US.
Drone Delivery Canada's “Sparrow” drone and WorkHouse Aero's “Horsefly” were used in the trial, reducing the 1.2-mile traditional driving distance required by Caduceus Medical Logistics to 0.67 miles. The trial involved 23 flights over a two-day period, adhering to aviation regulations and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) guidelines.
