VR-based mental health startup BehaVR has merged with Fern Health, a virtual chronic pain management company, to form RealizedCare. The merger aims to develop a new digital care management solution for chronic pain, leveraging the strengths of both companies.
As part of the platform, members will be assigned a pain coach and receive a personalized care plan, inclusive of pain neuroscience education, mindfulness practices, and other exercises. Members will also have access to PatientsLikeMe's digital health community to provide peer support.
Analyst QuickTake: The news of the merger follows BehaVR’s previous merger with OxfordVR in December 2022 to expand its VR healthcare delivery platform. The entities also raised USD 13 million in a Series B funding round to support their merger.
