Partnerships

  • Frontier, an advanced market commitment (AMC) for carbon removal technologies, has sourced carbon offset purchase deals with the CarbonCapture, a direct air capture (DAC) firm, and Heirloom, a DAC startup. The total purchase consideration amounts to USD 46.6 million for a total of 72,400 tons of CO2 removal.

  • CarbonCapture agreed to supply 45,500 tons of CO2 removal by 2028 for USD 20 million. The partnership expects to develop CarbonCapture's technology from the laboratory phase to a commercial facility.

  • In addition, Heirloom received USD 26.6 million for the removal of 26,900 tons of CO2 by 2030 from its next commercial facility.

  • Frontier undertook these CO2 removal purchases on behalf of multiple buyers, including Stripe, Alphabet, Shopify, Meta, JPMorgan Chase, McKinsey Sustainability, Autodesk, H&M Group, and Workday.
