German-based Squake, a carbon accounting startup for travel and logistics emissions, has partnered with AirPlus, a German corporate payment company, to allow the latter's customers to manage the carbon footprint of their corporate travel.
The integrated feature, EmbeddedCarbon+, automates the process of offsetting CO2 emissions via AirPlus. It currently incorporates air travel; Squake expects to include other travel categories in the future.
AirPlus’ clients have access to verified carbon offset projects, which include sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from Neste, direct air capture (DAC), and nature-based projects.
Previously in September 2023 , Squake collaborated with Neste to integrate its SAF purchases into the Squake platform.
