CarbiCrete, a Canadian developer of low-cost building solutions using CO2, received validation for its cement-free, carbon-negative concrete process from Enviro-access, a Canadian environmental impact assessment company.
Enviro-access completed an environmental benefits report conforming with ISO 14064-2, the standard for the quantification and reporting of GHG emission reductions and removals.
Accordingly, it stated that CarbiCrete's manufacturing process eliminates more than 100% of the global warming potential of traditional concrete blocks based on data from the company’s commercial facility at Drummondville, Quebec.
